Gibson Retracts his Five-In-The-Noggin speech

Well, this is surprising.

Wow, that is one hell of a spam-comment.

I went to Gibson's new statement, amazed that he would change his mind. It is a retraction - but with a big "but".

Just to be clear: If the guy had done what the cops said he did, I still say they would have done the right thing shooting him.

He's still advocating vigilante justice, shoot-first-don't-bother-to-ask-questions-at-all, no trial, no rights, shoot to kill. But apparently the cops are supposed to be a little more sure than they were. Not completely sure, just more sure.

I wasn't expecting him to change his spots, but even that small step was suprising to me.
